摘要： A fuel feed apparatus pumps fuel in a fuel tank to an outside of the fuel tank. The fuel feed apparatus includes a lid member that covers an opening formed in the fuel tank. The lid member includes an outlet passage, through which fuel passes to the outside of the fuel tank. A pump module is accommodated in the fuel tank. The pump module is supported by the lid member. The pump module includes a fuel pump that pumps fuel in the fuel tank to the outside of the fuel tank. A pipe member connects with a pipe connecting portion of the outlet passage and a pipe connecting portion of the pump module. The pipe member introduces fuel discharged from the pump module to the outlet passage. The pipe connecting portion of the outlet passage and the pipe connecting portion of the pump module are substantially perpendicular to an axis of the lid member.

摘要： A cover for a fuel tank opening is molded with insulating resin and a plurality of terminal pins is directly inserted thereinto. A lower housing portion, made of conductive resin and containing a fuel filter element, is weld-connected to the fuel tank side of the cover. A fuel pump is held under the cover. When electricity is supplied to the fuel pump via an electric connector, fuel is discharged from the fuel pump and this discharged fuel is filtered by a fuel filter. Static electricity generated in the fuel filter dissipates through the lower housing portion made of conductive resin. This construction enables suppression of electrostatic voltage generated in the fuel filter. Moreover, a plurality of connector terminals are directly inserted into the upper housing cover portion of the fuel filter housing at the time of molding, which can therefore supply electric power to the fuel pump with a simplified construction.

摘要： A fuel level detecting device has a first locking mechanism including a locking member, clamping portions for clamping a mounting surface, and pawl arms which are on a body of the device. A slit and engagement portions are provided on the mounting face of the mounting member, which acts as a second locking mechanism. The thickness of the locking member is equal to or slightly larger than the width of the slit, and the gap between a clamping portion and a contact face is equal to or slightly smaller than the thickness of the mounting face. The body is mounted to the mounting member when the locking member is inserted into the slit. This ensures the fuel detecting device to be mounted without play and disconnection thereof even when vibration occurs.

摘要： A controller for a heater has two switch circuits for controlling the supply of electric power to an atomizing glow plug for atomizing fuel and an ignition glow plug for igniting atomized fuel, the glow plugs being connected parallel to each other. One of the switch circuits includes a series-connected resistor for producing a voltage drop thereacross. During an inital period of operation of the heater, the first switch circuit free of the series-connected resistor is turned on to heat the glow plugs quickly up to respective prescribed temperatures for atomizing and igniting the fuel. Upon elapse of a predetermined period of time, during which the prescribed temperatures are reached, the first switch circuit is turned off and the second switch circuit with the series-connected resistor is turned on to keep the glow plugs at the prescribed temperatures without further heating them.
