摘要： A weather strip comprising an extruded body having straight sections and a corner section curving therebetween is disclosed. The extruded body comprises an attachment portion and a hollow sealing portion integrally formed by extrusion molding. The attachment portion is attached to a part of an automobile and the sealing portion is connected to the attachment portion at both ends. The weather strip comprises: an incision slit made on the outer periphery of the sealing portion in the corner section; an incision edge formed on the sealing portion along the incision slit, the incision edge being spread out toward the outer periphery of the corner section with the attachment portion and sealing portion being curved along a corner shape of the part of the automobile; and a molded part formed at least in the vicinity of the incision edge on the back side of the sealing portion in the corner section.

摘要： A process is provided for molding a pad for an air bag device. The pad has a cover portion, a hinge portion disposed near one edge thereof, and a bracket portion extending from the hinge portion at an angle with respect to the cover portion. The pad is provided with a flexible reinforcing insert embedded therein, extending from the bracket portion to the cover portion through the hinge portion. The insert is set in a mold, while the mold is open, so that the insert may be held in position by pins projecting from the mold into that portion of a mold cavity which forms the bracket portion of the pad. After the mold is closed, a molding material is injected into the mold cavity through a gate connected to that edge of the cavity which forms the one edge of the cover portion of the pad. A pad formed by the process is also provided.

摘要： A fuel tank system has a fuel tank, a fuel charging port extending from the fuel tank and disposed in the vicinity of an outer panel of a body and a fuel lid for covering the fuel charging port. The fuel lid is mounted such that it is movable substantially horizontally relative to a portion of the outer panel of the body corresponding to the fuel charging port and that a distal end of the fuel lid is capable of moving away from the fuel charging port and the outer panel. A fuel passage having an outlet disposed on a rear surface side of said fuel lid in such a manner as to be oriented downwardly is disposed in such a manner as to extend from said fuel tank. This fuel passage allows a liquid fuel overflowing during overfueling to flow.

The extrusion molding section includes a base section and a hollow sealing section. A seal lip is integral with the part of the extrusion molding section which corresponds to the upper section of the door frame. The length of the seal lip is gradually changed at a front upper corner part. During extrusion molding, the part of the extrusion molding section which corresponds to a front lower corner part is formed as follows: That is, the sealing section is larger in height than the other part. At least the part of the extrusion molding section which corresponds to the lower section is smaller in wall thickness of the vehicle outside base end part of the sealing section than the part which corresponds to the upper section.

摘要： An evaporation loss control device provided with a polymer chamber filled with polymer absorbent, a charcoal chamber filled with charcoal, introduction and purging pipes for connecting the polymer chamber with a fuel tank and an engine intake passage, respectively, an air pipe for ventilation connected to the charcoal chamber, and a vapor passage, which has various forms. For example, the vapor passage may be formed in spiral to encircle the polymer chamber, or provided between the polymer and charcoal chambers, thus allowing the evaporated fuel to pass therethrough. The vapor passage is constructed to prevent the evaporated fuel trapped by the polymer absorbent from flowing into the charcoal chamber, and also to prevent the liquid fuel from being absorbed by the charcoal.
