    • A method and router for implementing mirroring, said method including: configuring a remote mirroring port on a source router, establishing a corresponding layer two virtual interface, and specifying a data stream requiring mirroring and a corresponding physical egress port; establishing a layer two virtual interface corresponding to the layer two virtual interface of said source router on a destination router; forming one VPWS tunnel between the layer two virtual interfaces of said source router and said destination router; filtering out the mirroring data stream from the packet received at the remote mirroring port of said source router, and sending obtained mirroring packet from the physical egress port on said source router to said destination router; searching the layer two virtual interface on said destination router after receiving mirroring packet, and sending mirroring packet without a label from its corresponding physical port to a monitoring port, thereby implementing router remote mirroring.

    • A dynamic foldering system automatically manages the creation and deletion of run-time dynamic folders and selection of documents, items, or object graphs found in the run-time dynamic folders. The system comprises a query/predicate for a design-time folder group based on which dynamic folders are automatically managed, a variable binding mechanism, automatic identifications of dynamic folders containing a particular object, parallel navigation, and customized combination of foldering results. The dynamic folder hierarchy is defined by a hierarchy of design-time folder groups defined by a query/predicate on a document comprising structured or semi-structured data. Modifiable criteria for creating the dynamic folder hierarchy are provided by the user. Variable binding provides powerful query/predicate definitions on hierarchical data or graph-structured data. Given a document, the system automatically identifies which dynamic folders contain the document.

    • Taught herein is an integragted narrow bandpass filter array and a method of its fabrication. The filter array is a Fabry-Perot type of filter array, wherein the pass band changes with the thickness of the spacer layer. The integrated filter array comprises a substrate, a lower mirror stack, a spacer array, and an upper mirror stack. The spacer array is an array of varied thicknesses formed using a combinatorial deposition technique. The spacer array is used to control the pass band of each mini-size narrow bandpass filter and realizes the integration of narrow bandpass filters with different pass bands on a single substrate. The merit of this technique lies in its fabrication efficiency and finished product rate which are much higher than for conventional methods. The filter array is completely matched with detector arrays and functional in most of the important optical ranges.

    • Embodiment of the present invention may provide a switching regulator which may be located within an IC. The switching regulator couples to an external power supply, a plurality of configurable control registers, a plurality of default registers, and a multiplexer. The multiplexer is operable to select an input control signal from either the plurality of configurable control registers or the plurality of default control registers as the output control signal to the switching regulator. This default control signal, although not optimal, allows the switching regulator to be configured in a default condition during start up or power down operations and ensures that the switching regulator may provide a stable, although not necessarily optimal, power output to the various components within the IC.
