    • A fluid engine for use in pneumatically operated toys such as wheeled vehicles or airplanes includes an engine having a fluid input cavity which is in continuous fluid communication with a source of compressed air, a fluid delivery cavity which is in continuous communication with a piston cavity bounded by a moveable piston mounted in a cylinder member and which is separated from the fluid input cavity by a wall having a valve opening, and exhaust apertures which are separated from the fluid delivery cavity. A valve rod is movably housed to open the valve opening and close the exhaust apertures during the piston's power stroke, and to close the valve opening and open the exhaust opening during the piston's exhaust stroke. The valve rod is operatively connected to a piston to act in synchronism with it by the use of a cam integrally secured to a propeller power shaft.

    • A spring clip having integral, self-penetrating attachment tangs and an orientation tab can be manually installed in a window opening formed by a foam core sandwiched by a pair of OSBs. A first planar surface has a second planar surface attached along one lateral edge thereof and oriented at an angle in the range between 60° and 85°. This spring finger deflects out of the way permitting the window's insertion, snapping back to engage a vertically extending flange on the window to retain it in the opening. A modified spring clip for use with solid wood headers and sills utilized with multi-unit windows is also disclosed.

    • Lawn edging is made in discrete, rigid one foot sections each with an integral water conduit with sprinkling orifices, each section having an integral male fitting at one end and a female fitting at the other. The two fittings are oriented in a vertical direction and define a pivot axis for adjacent edging sections. The conduit is generally trapezoidal in shape and has a flat upper surface which serves as a force-receiving surface. A special section has a hose attachment to permit distribution of water in one or both directions from the special section. A bottom section is divided into subsections with each section having insertion facilitating elements including v-shaped points and a sharpened leading edge and removal inhibiting elements including teeth formed on a v-shaped tangential flange. A reinforcing flange divides the bottom portion from the upper portion which, in addition to supporting the water conduit, has a plurality of reinforcing ribs extending between the reinforcing flange and the water conduit.

    • A dental prosthetic implant which has angular rotational capability and improved locking between the implant fixture and the abutment prosthesis. The rotation and locking system includes an implant fixture with an internal spherical radius at its upper portion. A top seat with the same spherical radius is secured to the top portion of the fixture. A locking element configured as a sphere with flexible locking fingers on its lower portion and an internal cylindrical bore through its center that has a conically tapered lower portion is received between the implant fixture and the main body of the abutment. The conically tapered lower portion may taper inwardly or outwardly and is engaged by a similarly configured portion of the flexible fingers. A threaded portion of the locking screw engages in a threaded bore in the implant providing the force to bias the flexible fingers outwardly into firm engagement with a complementarily configured surface on the fixture, as well as increasing the pressure between the upper surface of the locking element and the nether surface of the top seat.

    • An oral appliance (20) includes first and second mouthpiece elements (22,32) each equipped with adjustable ribs (30,40) on an anterior portion (24) and ramp surfaces (28,38) on each of its posterior arms (26). The ribs (22,32) slope upwardly, front to back at a steeper angle than the ramp surfaces. Preferably, the ribs (22,32) and the ramps (28,38) surfaces have maximum height which define a ratio in the range of between 2 and 2½ to mimic the differential in mouth opening between incisors and molars. The appliance has a plurality of laterally extending protrusions (42,44,46) that are engaged by elastic bands (48) to exert a force which simultaneously pulls the wear's mandible forward and biases the lower mouthpiece toward the upper mouthpiece. Adjustable ribs extend laterally to permit relative movement of the two mouthpiece elements to eliminate the buildup of tension in the wearer's jaw.
