摘要： A distortion cancellation amplifier is described having a main amplifier and an error amplifier. The main amplifier, in response to an input signal, generates an output signal having an amplified signal component and a distortion signal component. The error amplifier is sized and biased to generate, in response to the same input signal, a distortion signal component that has substantially the same magnitude as the distortion signal component of the main amplifier. The distortion signal component from the error amplifier is subtracted from the output signal of the main amplifier.

摘要： The invention features an exhalation assist device for adjusting the airway resistance in an exhalation circuit of a medical ventilator. The device includes a set of pressure, airflow and airway sensors, a controlling processor, a user interface, and a ventilatory unit in communication with a medical ventilator. Data relating to pressure within the ventilatory unit and data relating to exhalation airflow, exhalation circuit pressure and exhalation circuit resistance are provided to the controlling processor by the sensors. The controlling processor compares measured and calculated values for airway pressure, airflow, airway resistance and applied negative pressure with desired values that have been entered by a clinician. Based on these calculations, the controlling processor transmits a signal that will change the applied negative pressure applied to the exhalation circuit by the ventilatory unit. The amount of negative pressure applied during the breathing cycle is varied by the controlling processor so that the amount of exhalation assist increases proportionately with the amount of exhalation flow and so that the amount of pressure within the patient airway remains constant at a level greater that zero and less than PEEP.

The wafer container package includes a wafer cassette having two sides, a configured end, and an H bar end including an upper and lower ramp support with the bar being reinforced by a partially cylindrical rod; a package bottom including four sides, an edge surrounding the sides, hook latches, four internal side dividing members and a flat bottom; and a package top including four sides, a lip to encompass the edge, configured independent opposing flexible grooved members, and recessed top surface for stacking where the cassette is positioned by internal side dividers in the package tops and bottoms for secure placement. The three components provide that the cassette mates between the package tops and bottoms, the wafers mate in the cassette and with the top opposing members, the package tops and bottoms mate between the trough, and the hook ends secure the package tops and bottoms together and also secure the cassette and wafers therein. The sides of the package are smooth, providing for a flush perimeter for taping. The recessed top surface provides for stacking of like packages. The smooth, rounded contour design of the package provides a package design for shrink wrapping. The package limits and prohibits wafer movement and eliminates wafer breakage.
