摘要： An apparatus and method for forming a composite workpiece are provided. An electromagnetic field generator induces a current in a susceptor, thereby heating the workpiece in a die cavity. An elastomeric bladder in the cavity is inflated and urges the workpiece against a contour surface corresponding to a desired configuration of the workpiece. Coolant fluid can also be circulated through the die cavity to cool the workpiece. Thus, the workpiece can be heated, formed, and cooled quickly and without substantial heating of other components, thereby reducing the time and energy relative to conventional forming methods.

摘要： A multi-engine power plant, includes a first internal combustion engine module having an air intake and an output shaft for delivering power, a second internal combustion engine module having an air intake and an output shaft for delivering power, and a single throttle body operatively connected to the air intakes of both the first and second engine modules, for controlling a flow of air to the intakes of the engine modules at a common manifold absolute pressure (MAP) of both engine modules during operation of one or both of the engine modules. The power plant also includes a selectively engagable clutch for operatively coupling the output shaft of the second engine module to the output shaft of the first engine module, to thereby produce a common torque output from the first and second engine modules.

摘要： A sun shield assembly for detachable attachment to an infant's seat includes a pair of mounting brackets and a hood mountable in the brackets. Each bracket is formed with a base having an adhesive material on one face thereof and a hollow cylindrical boss projecting from the other face of the boss. The hood is given a pair of cylindrical pivot pins which extend from the opposed side walls of the hood and are dimensioned to pivot within the corresponding boss of the mounting bracket. The hood is made of a material which is sufficiently resilient such that the side walls can be separated to a spaced apart distance whereby the pivot pins can be inserted into the respective bosses.

Gravity may drive the ram from the upper position toward the lower position to provide an impact force of the ram against a blade segment of a turbine or a compressor. The height of the upper position is variable so as to control the impact force.
