摘要： A banking system includes automated banking machines that operate responsive to data read from data bearing records. Transactions may also be carried out through communication with local and remote service providers. An automated banking machine is operative to conduct transactions including cash dispensing for users, responsive to data read from user cards and communication with a transaction host. The machine is also operative to provide output signals which drive external displays. A machine processor is operative to cause the machine to receive visual and/or audio content from content sources and to store data corresponding to the content. The content is then output through the external displays.

The ATM is also operative to provide output signals which drive external displays (328, 330) which are separate from the ATM. The processor in the ATM is also operative to cause the ATM to receive visual and/or audio content from one or more content sources (342, 343) and to store data corresponding to such content in the ATM. Such content is then output through the external displays. The ATM is also operative to receive and store a plurality of advertising messages. The advertising messages are output in a targeted manner to users of the ATM.

摘要： A pneumatic carrier transport system includes a user terminal. A piston of a rodless cylinder can be used to telescopically move a blocking cylinder. The blocking cylinder is vertically displaced to an open position to permit manual access to a carrier received at the terminal. With the blocking cylinder at the open position, a carrier can also be manually placed into the terminal. The blocking cylinder is formed of transparent material to allow a user to view a carrier received at the terminal while the blocking cylinder is in a closed position. The terminal includes control mechanisms on opposite sides to enable two users to operate and access the carrier at the user terminal.

摘要： An automated banking machine allows an authorized user to carry out transactions such as withdrawing cash, making a deposit, cashing a check, and transferring funds between accounts. The machine provides a transaction selection screen through a touch screen display. The transaction selection screen includes a plurality of visually different icons. Each icon represents a different transaction that is available to the current machine user. The user can select a particular transaction by dragging its representative icon with a contacting finger. Upon selection of the particular transaction, a display screen unique to that particular transaction is then provided through the touch screen display.
