    • A process for producing an easily-slidable polyarylene thioether film having an arithmetic average surface roughness, Ra, in a range of 2-200 nm and a dynamic friction coefficient, .mu.k, within a range of 0.1-0.6 at least on one surface of the film, which comprises:a) contacting at least one surface of an amorphous film, containing the polyarylene thioether, consisting essentially of repeating units of the formula: ##STR1## with at least one organic solvent having a solubility parameter within a range of 8.5-11.5, and being selected from the group consisting of ethers, thioethers, organic amides, halogenated hydrocarbons, carbon disulfide, aromatic hydrocarbons, pyridines, quinolines, nitro compounds, ketones, esters, cyano compounds and sulfones; or a mixture of any of the above solvents with water, alcohols or aliphatic hydrocarbons; until the arithmetic surface roughness, Ra, of the contacted film reaches 10-150 nm, thereby increasing a degree of crystallization at the surface of the film which is higher than that of the inside; b) stretching the contacted film at a temperature within the range of 70-130.degree. C. and at an area stretching factor of 4-18 times; andc) heat setting the stretched film at a temperature within the range of 180.degree.-280.degree. C. for a time within a range of 1-2000 seconds.

    • In a process for producing a rubber-containing graft copolymer, which comprises bringing a latex of a graft copolymer comprising 60% to 90% by weight of a rubbery polymer and 40% to 10% by weight of a hard polymer, said graft copolymer latex being obtained by emulsion polymerizing a hard polymer-forming monomer in a latex of said rubbery polymer and having a minimum film-forming temperature of 75.degree. C. or less, into contact with an aqueous electrolyte solution under stirring, thereby to coagulate the latex, and recovering the precipitated graft copolymer, the improvement is disclosed such that the graft copolymer latex is subjected to slow coagulation so as to allow the graft copolymer to precipitate as substantially spherical particles, wherein the term "slow coagulation" refers to coagulation which proceeds at a milder rate than that of coagulation in which the aqueous electrolyte solution is hydrochloric acid and the pH of the latex during coagulation is 1.8 or less.

The medical electrode device, when applied to the surface of a living body with a small radius of curvature, can be in an intimate contact with the living body without disturbing the distribution of the electric field, can attain a satisfactory cooling effect due to the use of a direct cooling system and the uniform flow distribution of water through the partitioned flow channel, and can perform efficient warming of the targeted lesion in the living body.
