    • A fuel pump mounting arrangement for a fuel system of an engine powering a watercraft is disclosed. The watercraft has a hull defining an engine compartment and having a lower surface, a water propulsion device, and an internal combustion engine positioned in the engine compartment and supported by the lower surface of the hull. The engine has an output shaft arranged to drive the water propulsion device. The watercraft has an air intake system for supplying the engine with air for use in a combustion process, the intake system including at least one air intake through the hull leading into the engine compartment, the watercraft including a fuel supply system for supplying fuel from a fuel supply to the engine for combustion, the fuel supply system including a fuel pump delivering fuel from the fuel supply to said engine, the fuel pump positioned to avoid exposure to water which enters the engine compartment through the hull.

    • A heat exchanger assembly is provided for a marine propulsion system having a closed loop cooling system. The heat exchanger body encloses a series of tubes carrying sea water which removes heat from the engine coolant. The heat exchanger includes an integrally connected top tank. A single venting orifice is provided into the top tank from the heat exchanger body. A heat exchanger coolant outlet is in direct fluid communication with both a system bypass and the coolant in the top tank. An auxiliary inlet for coolant from the top tank is located in the heat exchanger coolant outlet downstream of the bypass inlet, thereby promoting the ability of the system to draw coolant through the top tank rather than the bypass. The invention minimizes cavitation and reduces the creation of negative pressure at the circulating pump.

    • An apparatus for permitting the periodic introduction of a fluid into a marine plumbing system for zebra mussel control and winterization purposes, comprising:a) a "T" shaped member having first second and third external apertures and a continuous interior passage which is communicatively connected to each aperture, the first and a second aperture further being permanently communicatively coextensive with flexible conduit members of the marine plumbing system;b) a valve, connected to a third aperture, for controlling the ingress of zebra mussel killing fluids and antifreeze fluids, through the third aperture, into the marine plumbing system, the valve having a first end connected to the third aperture of the branched member and a second end which is connectable to an external fluid source, the valve further having a closure member and a control arm connected to the closure member;c) a cap for connection to the valve second end; andd) clamps for connecting flexible conduit members of the marine plumbing system to the first and second apertures of the "T" shaped member.
