摘要： A heat exchange system for use on an engine-powered watercraft includes a liquid cooling system for cooling the engine using a first heat exchanger and a water heating system using a second heat exchanger for heating water. Raw water from an external water source is passed through each heat exchanger. Water used to cool the engine coolant inside the first heat exchanger exits the watercraft. Water heated by the second heat exchanger is passed to either an intake conduit or at least one onboard accessory system for flushing thereof to kill aquatic invasive species. A valve inside the second heat exchanger opens to release heated water when the heated water reaches a temperature of at least 140° F. Heated coolant from the first heat exchanger passes through the second heat exchanger to transfer heat to the water inside the second heat exchanger.

A hose runs down along the length of the telescoping pole and connects to one of the sealing caps so that water can be pumped through the hose into the engine. The present invention has connection means for both the telescoping pole and the hose on both sides of the sealing attachment, allowing the present invention to be used regardless of which side of the boat the dock is positioned on.

摘要： A flushing device that is used to remove salt water and other corrosive agents from the cooling system of an outboard motor. The flushing device includes an earmuff flushing accessory that is attached to the end of an elongate support member and is used to create sealed chambers that surround the end ports of the motor. The elongated member can either be directly coupled to the earmuff flushing accessory or coupled through an elbow extension member to allow for the operation of the device from various positions, including to the side, in front, or from behind the outboard motor. The device is configured so that the flushing liquid flows either directly from the elongated member or through a bent extension member into the earmuff flushing accessory, thereby eliminating the need for various separate components to control the flow of the liquid. The device, therefore, uses a simple design that is both inexpensive to manufacture and effective while eliminating potential sources of failure.

In addition to pressure-regulation, the amount of flush solution or anti-freeze is demarcated by level-indicator gradients on the tank, and visual monitoring of the operation of the device is possible through a clear hose assembly.

摘要： System and method for protecting a cooling system of a liquid-cooled engine using a protective material. This system enables a boat operator to flush the cooling system using salt, brackish or fresh water. In one embodiment, the system includes a reservoir, a dispenser and a connection device. The reservoir is capable of containing a protective material that can include, among others properties, anticorrosive properties. The dispenser controls release of the protective material from the reservoir and can be controlled manually or through a control unit. The system is coupled with the cooling system downstream from raw water intake ports and upstream from a terminal end of the cooling system as the cooling system terminates at the exhaust port. The protective fluid can be dispensed using gravity feed or a pump.
