摘要： Disclosed herein is a catalyst suitable for dehydrocoupling of toluene or xylene, represented by the general formula (I):M.sub.a Tl.sub.b O.sub.c (I),wherein M represents yttrium, zinc or zirconium; a denotes a number in a range of 0.25 to 5, b denotes 1, and c denotes a number necessary for fulfilling the respective average atomic valencies of M and Tl in the oxidation states in which they exist in the composition represented by the formula (I), and a process for dehydrocoupling of toluene or xylene in the presence of the catalyst represented by the general formula (I).

摘要： A rotary cutter comprises a generally elongated plate-like handle having a bearing aperture defined at one end thereof, a shaft member supported by the handle and extending through the bearing aperture, a disc blade rotatably mounted on the shaft and lying in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the shaft member and in parallel to any one of the opposed surfaces of the handle, and a device for adjustably applying a frictional force to the disc blade in a direction generally perpendicular to the disc blade. The disc blade is, when the rotary cutter is in use, rotated in contact with the material to be cut in a controlled manner.

A first coat layer at a chamfer portion has residual stress that exhibits a minimal value at a depth A within 2 μm from the surface, and that is greater than or equal to −7 GPa and less than or equal to −1 GPa.
