摘要： A toothbrush having a handle and a rubber-like brushing structure having a plurality of brushing projections and mounted on the forward part of the handle is further provided with a rigid frame member surrounding the side surface of the brushing structure and engaged with the latter in a projection-and-recess relation, the frame member being bonded to the handle for indirectly securing the brushing structure to the handle, and the "hardness" in operation of the toothbrush, i.e., the brushing projections, being adjusted by varying the height of the frame member measured perpendicularly to the lengthwise direction of the handle.

The openings allow a flow of air from a hand-held hair dryer or blower to reach the hair and scalp during brushing. The brush has a handle, a base connected to the handle, and vents running through the base. Bristles are mounted on a long, narrow, substantially rectangular track. The track is affixed to the base so that the bristles extend from the openings. The openings are wider than the tracks and bristles to allow a flow of air to pass through.

摘要： In a preferred embodiment, a self-returning hinge is embodied in an appliance or tool comprising a tubular handle and an open frame formed from a flexible spring metal into a desired shape and having a pair of U-shaped end sections extending laterally outwardly therefrom in mutually overlying relation into a hollow end section of the handle which is crimped along one side thereof with the opposite side being flattened to retain the U-shaped end sections therein in such overlying relation. Various elements such as nets, brushes, and scrapers may be attached to the frame as desired.Other embodiments which do not provide a self-returning hinge are also described; however, such embodiments do provide certain other advantages also associated with the preferred embodiment. In one other embodiment, the frame is made from a non-spring metal and in a second other embodiment, the referenced hollow end section is crimped along two opposing sides and the frame is made from a non-spring metal.

摘要： A brush for removing cremated remains from a crematory oven is entirely formed of metal to resist the high temperatures of the oven and has two linear brush assemblies fixed to a top frame. A steel handle extends rearwardly from the frame for grasping by a brush operator. One of the linear brush assemblies has smaller diameter crimped stainless steel bristles and is positioned at the front of the brush, the other of the linear brush assemblies has larger diameter crimped stainless steel bristles and is fixed to the top frame rearward of the front brush assembly. Side brush assemblies extend sidewardly and upwardly of the other two. In operation the brush is inserted at the front of the oven and drawn rearwardly after the cremation such that the rear bristles encounter and withdraw the larger elements of the remains, and the front bristles encounter and withdraw the smaller elements.
