摘要： The invention provides a releasable connector comprising a male part presenting four mutually inclined faces forming a tetrahedral wedge, and a female part presenting three walls for mating with the faces of the male part when the male part is inserted therein. A locking device is mounted on one of the two parts and applies a locking force, urging the wedge into intimate contact with the female part to lock the male part in position. The locking means is movable to a release position in which it frees the male part for insertion and withdrawal in a direction transverse to the face. The mutual inclinations of the three faces are sufficient to avoid jamming of the connector.

摘要： The present invention provides a brake pad retaining plate assembly which is a sub-assembly which can be simply bolted to the plate of a brake shoe assembly. This sub-assembly basically comprises a retaining plate which has a pair of bolts screwed into parallel bores in one end of the plate, the shafts of the bolts extending through aligned bores in first and second plate members. A spring engages over the shaft of each bolt and engages against the retaining plate, biassing the plate members towards the heads of the bolts; the plate member nearest to the retaining plate being adapted to be secured to the shoe plate. Thus the brake pad retaining assembly of the present invention can be mounted simply by bolting the plate member nearest the retaining plate, to the shoe plate. Further, the retaining plate can only be released by engaging a suitable tool between the plate members. Thus accidental release cannot occur.

The body includes a vertically extending opening and includes a horizontal opening. A locking slide is vertically movable in the vertical opening for extending upwardly for attachment to and movable downwardly for disconnection from a lift truck carriage. A release and locking button is horizontally movable in the horizontally extending opening and extends through a bore in the locking slide. Coacting shoulders on the slide and on the button hold the slide in an extended and locked position when engaged and allow the slide to retract when disengaged. Spring means urge the button in a direction to engage the coacting shoulders. Releasing means on the button are provided for moving the button to a disengaging position. The body may include fastener openings on which includes a hexagonal recess for receiving a hexagonal nut or a circularly headed bolt whereby the body can be secured to the attachment by various types of fasteners.
