摘要： The remote configuration of a telephony device is managed by transmitting configuration data to the device. The data is transmitted via a data communication network. One of more service credentials are received. The credentials are authenticated. A configuration time period is activated in response to authentication of the credentials. A request for configuration data is received via the network, which includes identification data indicative that the request is from a telephony device associated with the credentials. It is determined how to proceed with processing of the request dependent on whether the request is received during the time period. If so, configuration data is transmitted via the network in response to the request. If the request is received after the time period, transmission of configuration data via the network in response to the request is inhibited.

摘要： The present invention involves providing secure Voice Over IP (VOIP) communications to a mobile communications device. Specifically, the disclosed systems and methods enable a standard remote communications device (e.g., a cellular telephone) to utilize the Secure Communications Interoperability Protocol (SCIP) as designed by the U.S. Department of Defense. The invention provides SCIP access to users without requiring specific hardware configurations to be built into, or added to, the remote communications device. The remote communications device is equipped with software that emulates what was previously accomplished through a hardware configuration in order to facilitate secure VOIP communications over standard mobile communication devices.

The innovative architectures include a proxy-based system model, a direct communication model, and a hybrid proxy/direct communication model. A user can operate an “intelligent” end user device. i.e., a device running a client program with knowledge of the architecture particulars, to access a clearinghouse service on an IP network. This enables the user to communicate a telephony call over the IP network and via the combination of a terminating gateway identified by the clearinghouse service and the Public Switched Telephone Network.

摘要： Sensitive, Standard Telephone Equipment (STE) data is encapsulated into IP packets in a remotely deployed, secure communication system. The IP packets are addressed to a matching IP encapsulator/decapsulator device over the public Internet or other IP protocol network, that then passes it to a similar STE device over an ISDN link for decryption. The present invention is embodied in a system that provides secure Voice-Over-IP (VOIP), video and data network functionality in a single, small size deployable case, to a remote user. Most importantly, the embodiment allows for the routing of bulk encrypted (i.e., secure) data over a public network, e.g., the Internet.

摘要： A system and method are disclosed herein for providing mitigation of fraud in a hosted messaging service while having minimal impact on authorized messaging users. The method includes a system for detecting potential fraud based on multiple and configurable fraud indicators as well as historical data, which can be customized for individual users or groups. The system can terminate in-process messages that are potentially fraudulent and reset the network access credentials for the affected user accounts or devices that have been potentially compromised. The system uses historical data to block further messages from the compromised user accounts or devices to specific destination addresses where the presumed fraudulent messaging activity was directed. In a further aspect, the system and method can automatically reset the network access credentials for authorized users with minimal downtime.
