摘要： A system and method for initiating a personal emergency response is disclosed. The method can include receiving an emergency communication via a virtual assistant, spoken by a user and an urgent situation or an emergency situation. The emergency communication can be processed to determine the nature of the emergency communication and translate the emergency communication into an emergency data message having a digital representation of information related to the emergency communication. If the emergency communication indicates an urgent situation, the system can contact an emergency contact based on stored user preferences. If the emergency communication indicates an emergency situation, then the system can aid in the dispatch of emergency services and provide information about the user to provide a measured response to the emergency communication.

摘要： A system and method for determining an order in which to communicate with a list of numbers and/or addresses for a particular contact is disclosed. Each caller that communicates with the contact may specify a different order for the contact's various phone numbers and other addresses. A communication management system may then automatically dial the numbers or use messaging addresses to initiate data communications in the specified order when the initiating party attempts to communicate with the contact. The order may specify simultaneous and/or sequential use of numbers or addresses. Alternatively or additionally, the communication management system may dynamically and/or automatically determine the communication order or a portion thereof. The automatic determination of the order may be based on a communication history or communication receiving of the initiating party. In some arrangements, the order may be partially manually defined and partially automatically defined.

摘要： This disclosure relates to system and method for managing an unsuccessful communication session between a source user and a target user. In one embodiment, the method comprises determining a plurality of correlative contacts between the source user and the target user from one or more communication platforms, and scoring the plurality of correlative contacts based on one or more proximity parameters among the source user, each of the plurality of correlative contacts, and the target user. The method further comprises generating an initial set of correlative contacts based on the scoring, presenting the initial set of correlative contacts along with a plurality of selectable communication recourses, initiating a communication with at least one of the initial set of correlative contacts upon selection of a corresponding communication recourse, and providing a plurality of selectable recourses to reach out to the target user based on the communication.

摘要： A method and system for providing a second line service (“SLS”) feature to a subscriber using a telecommunications device (“TD”) which includes receiving at a switch on the network of the subscriber's primary service provider a communication made up of a trigger and a directory number. When the communication is received at the primary service provider's switch, the switch parses the communication and detects the trigger. Once the switch has received the communication, the switch additionally transmits a query message to a SLS platform that manages the SLS feature. As a result of the switch's query message transmission, the switch receives a reply to the query message from the SLS platform. Based at least in part on the reply to the query message, the switch can route the communication such that the switch connects one or multiple voice channel circuit between the subscriber's TD and the terminating TD.

摘要： A subscriber to a universal point of contact service designates a preferred point of contact at which a communication initiator, such as a telephone caller, can contact the subscriber. Such an initiator desiring to contact the subscriber uses the subscriber's email address to establish a communication session with a device associated with the subscriber's preferred point of contact. The subscriber's email address is input to an initiating device, preferably a telephone or facsimile machine, using an entry device capable of entering an email address. A requestor unit, receiving the email address, locates a repository of the subscriber's point of contact information, and requests that information. The repository sends the point of contact information the subscriber has designated as preferred, and the requestor unit uses that information to control a telephone switch to establish a communication session between the initiating device and the subscriber's preferred point of contact device.
