摘要： A method and apparatus for manufacturing the screw flight section of a screw conveyor is disclosed. The apparatus includes two horizontal arms which extend from a vertical support and at the terminal end of these arms there are dies for engaging the inner and outer peripheral edges of a flat, sheet metal, annulus-shaped blank with a radial slit. One die is turned on its longitudinal axis while the other remains stationary so that the blank is twisted. After the blank is circumferentially displaced relative to the dies, it is again twisted in the above described manner. This procedure is repeated around the entire circumference of the blank with the result that a helical form is applied to the blank.

摘要： Apparatus for increasing the twist of blades of an integrally bladed rotor comprise a plurality of pairs of opposed, aligned blade formers, slideably disposed in guide channels on opposite sides of the blades to be twisted. The rotor and twisting apparatus is heated and the opposed formers are forced toward each other. The blade disposed between each pair of formers is sandwiched between the ends of the formers. The ends of the formers are specially shaped such that the blades are reshaped or twisted to the desired final contour.

The function cavity of the forming dies consists of a guide part, a forming part, and a calibrating part. The guide part of the function cavity is formed by the intersection of a cylindrical surface and a helix, the forming part is formed by the intersection of a conical surface and a helix, and the calibrating part is of the shape of the helix of the final product. A minimum length of the guide part of the function cavity is equal to the diameter of the cylindrical surface, but the minimum length of the forming part as well as the length of the calibrating part of the function cavity is equal to one lead of the helix. The ratio of the diameter of the cylindrical surface of the guide part to the diameter of the helix is at least 1.1:1.
