摘要： An engine block assembly and method manufacturing an engine block assembly and related components. A casted engine block assembly includes a cylinder block portion. The cylinder block portion includes a plurality of cylinder block openings disposed therein, a cylinder block flange portion positioned at a top of the cylinder block portion and a cylinder block crankcase portion disposed at a base of the cylinder block. The cylinder block flange portion is configured for coupling the cylinder block to a cylinder head. The cylinder block portion includes a plurality of cylinder block walls extending between the cylinder block flange portion and the cylinder block crankcase portion and positioned about the plurality of cylinder block openings. The cylinder block walls house a plurality of internal channels. The plurality of cylinder block walls are void of enclosed openings extending through at least one of the cylinder block walls in the plurality of cylinder block walls.

End portions of legs of the cooling channel plate with edge portions of the annular body via laser beams of at least one laser in a continuous wave operation, accompanied by an inert gas and metal powder as an additive, such that guiding the laser beams at least predominately onto the annular body a first weld seam is produced by partial melting or fusing of the annular body, partial melting or fusing of the cooling channel plate, and melting or fusing of applied metal powder. The path of movement of the annular support or laser beams is greater than 360°. A wall of a respective tubular body or plate-shaped body is interconnected with a rim portion of one of the openings via at least one second weld seam.

摘要： A method is provided for efficiently manufacturing a high quality internal combustion engine piston having an annular cavity allowing for good circulation of cooling fluid. An annular groove is formed at the circumferential edge of the top face of a piston crown, or at the top of the exterior circumferential face of the crown, and an annular protruding strip is formed as a continuation of an edge of the opening of the annular groove. The protruding strip is bent in the direction of the opening of the annular groove by bringing to bear a pressure roller 11, while rotating the main piston body. Consequently, the opening of the annular groove is closed, whereby an annular cavity for circulating cooling fluid is formed so as to surround a pressure receiving recess.

The spring exerts an axial force on the seal ring thereby preventing motion of the seal ring within the groove. Preferably, the spring in a wave spring, wherein small changes in deflection of the wave spring produces small changes in the load generated by the spring on the seal ring. The seal ring has at least one radial spring ring mounted within the seal ring to create a radial force on the seal ring. The piston can also include a sleeve that mounts to the piston body, the sleeve forming a wall of the groove. The piston can be a displacer mounted within a cylinder of a refrigerator.

摘要： Each side rail of a combined oil ring, which includes a spacer-expander and two side rails, has an ion nitriding treatment layer on an outer peripheral surface of the rail. The inner peripheral surface of each rail may either be a bare surface or have either a soft surface treatment or a hard chrome plating. The upper and lower surfaces of the rail may either be a bare surface or have a soft surface treatment. The method comprises coiling a strip to form a coil, placing the coil on a jig so that only the outer peripheral surface is exposed to the ion nitriding and then cutting the coil to form the individual rails with a gap.
