摘要： A light-generating device includes a driving substrate and a plurality of light source arrays. The driving substrate has a rectangular planar shape. The plurality of light source arrays is formed on the driving substrate. The light source arrays include at least one light emitting diode to generate light in response to power being applied through the substrate, and the light source arrays are spaced apart from each other. Thus, heat generated from the light-generating device is rapidly dissipated from the light-generating device, improving brightness of the light, brightness uniformity of the light and color reproducibility of the light.

摘要： In accordance with one or more embodiments of the present invention, a light source module includes a light source, a frame plate, and an insulation structure. The frame plate includes a plurality of light source pad portions, a power wiring portion, and a peripheral portion. The power wiring portion is electrically connected to the light source to be formed in the vicinity of the light source pad portion. A boundary area of the power wiring portion corresponding to the peripheral portion and the light source pad portion is formed to be open, so that the power wiring portion is spaced apart from the peripheral portion and the light source pad portion. The insulation structure is formed in the boundary area to electrically insulate the power wiring portion from the frame plate. In one aspect, the volume, weight, and manufacturing costs of the light source module may be reduced, and a process of individually packaging light sources may be considered unnecessary.

摘要： A method of driving light sources controls amounts of light from light-emitting diode (LED) strings based on pulse signals to operate the LED strings connected in parallel. Voltages are synchronized with the pulse signals at input terminals of control circuits to detect the voltages, the control circuits being connected to the LED strings and controlling resistance variations of the LED strings. The operation of the LED strings is stopped when the detected voltage is out of a predetermined allowable voltage range due to a short-circuited LED. Therefore, a light source device may be protected by stopping the operation of the LED strings.

The light reflecting grooves are formed at an upper surface of the light guiding plate, having a shape of a reversed cone. In this backlight, the light traveling directly upward from the LED is efficiently reflected by total internal reflection and then recycled, resulting in a uniform light distribution of the backlight.
