The display apparatus includes a light source package generating light, a circuit board including a recessed region in which the light source package is disposed, a display panel displaying images, and a light guide plate directing the light generated from the light source package onto the display panel. The light guide plate includes a top surface, a bottom surface, and a plurality of sidewall surfaces. One of the sidewall surfaces of the light guide plate is a light incident surface on which the light from the light source package is irradiated. A distance between the light source package and the light incident surface is less than a width of the circuit board.

The curved frame includes an upper frame part, a lower frame part, a left frame part and a right frame part. The upper frame part has a first set of curved guide rails formed thereon, which guide rails are bent in accordance with first curvatures of upper sides of the display panel and the backlight unit. The lower frame part has a second set of guide rails formed thereon, which guide rails are bent in accordance with second curvatures of lower sides of the display panel and the backlight unit. The left frame part is combined with each of first edge portions of the upper and lower frame parts. The right frame part is combined with each of second edge portions of the upper and lower frame parts.

The top chassis overlaps a portion of the display panel and includes a first thru-hole which extends through a thickness of a side portion thereof. The display apparatus includes a printed circuit board and a coupling member. The printed circuit board applies an electrical signal to the display panel, is under the side portion, and includes a second thru-hole which corresponds to the first thru-hole. The coupling member extends through the first thru-hole and the second thru-hole, and couples the top chassis and the printed circuit board to each other.
