An upright ball support member is attached to the second plate member for supporting a ball to be hit that includes telescoping post members which permit the height of the ball to be selectively adjusted. The armature and uppermost post are flexible so as to absorb the forces generated by the user hitting the ball or ball support member.

摘要： A resilient accessory adapted for a number of different uses including a resilient cap for the top of an armrest of an airplane passenger seat. The accessory includes a hollow, resilient, first member having an outer wall and a pair of sides integral with the outer wall, and a second rigid, plate-like member secured to the first member in closing relationship to an open extremity of the first member opposite to the outer wall thereof. The first and second members are interconnected by posts integral with the first member and extending through holes in the second members, the outer ends of the posts having heads which retain the second member on the first member. A number of stops adjacent to the posts are integral with the first member and engage the inner surface of the second member, whereby the heads and the stops hold the second member in a fixed position relative to the first member.

摘要： A process and apparatus for separating a hydrocarbon feed gas into residue gas and a less volatile product fraction utilizing phase separation resulting from cooling. The present invention utilizes a portion of the liquid product fraction as internal refrigerant by expansion-cooling of the fraction which is then recycled after heat exchange to the inlet feed gas. No external refrigeration system is required. Flow of the portion of the liquid product fraction used as internal refrigerant is controlled with a Joule-Thompson valve responsive to the temperature of the residue gas and product fraction as they are separated so as to regulate expansion-cooling to provide a desired composition of the residue gas and the product fraction.

摘要： A batting practice trainer for foot placement is disclosed comprising two oppositely disposed flat support members having a home plate member disposed therebetween and attached thereto, and placement guide members comprised of pliable, yieldable material and having a pivot foot recess, a first stride foot recess parallel to the pivot foot recess, and a second stride foot recess therein, and mounted in opposing disposition on the top surface of each support member. The first stride foot recess is connected to the second stride foot recess to allow unencumbered passage of the stride foot of a batter during the swinging motion. The depth of the recesses in the foot placement guide members is sufficient to provide tactile guidance for the batter's feet during the swinging motion, yet yielding to improper foot placement. The recesses are traffic light color coded to provide visual guidance of the proper batting stance with the pivot foot recess being red, the first stride foot recess being yellow, and the second stride foot recess being green. The center of the home plate member has a hinge and is foldable to provide compaction for transportation.
