    • PURPOSE: A ground test apparatus of rocket engine for high altitude environment and a method thereof are provided to simulate relatively low nozzle back pressure environment according to spraying cooling water to the inside of nozzle, thereby preventing the delamination phenomenon which is the reason of nozzle vibration. CONSTITUTION: A ground test apparatus of rocket engine for high altitude environment includes a supporting unit (110), a watertight cap (120), and a cooling water supplying unit (130). The supporting unit fixes a rocket engine (10). The watertight cap is installed at the front end of nozzle (12) adjacent to a combustion chamber (11). The cooling water supplying unit supplies the cooling water to the inside of the nozzle. The cooling water supplying unit includes a flow control valve (133) which controls the supplying amount of the cooling water.
