A first overcurrent control unit(312) is connected to a supply voltage generation unit of a subscriber board. The first overcurrent control unit determines the current amount supplied from the supply voltage generation unit. A first overcurrent routing unit(314) is connected to a first excess current path unit. The first overcurrent routing unit bypasses overcurrent flowing from the supply voltage generation unit to a current limiting unit. A normal current routing unit(316) supplies normal current to a supply unit of a private branch exchange subscriber unit.

    • A power supply device and a communication apparatus are provided to perform a stable processing operation by supplying sufficient power to a processing apparatus even in sudden increase of a processing data quantity. A power supply device includes a supply unit(223A), a load estimating unit, and a power control unit(224_3). The supply unit supplies power to a processing apparatus(221A) which processes data and outputs processing results. The load estimating unit estimates processing load of the processing apparatus after the current point of time based on processing load of the processing apparatus before the current point of time. The power control unit increases or decreases power supply of the supply unit according to a size of the load estimated in the load estimating unit.

    • PURPOSE: A method for controlling power fed to a switchboard network is provided to detect an over-current from a subscriber board to cut off the over-current, and to periodically feed power to each over-current subscriber at certain intervals, thereby sensing whether an over-current is generated. CONSTITUTION: If a subscriber board is initialized, a network feeds power to the subscriber board(S1), and monitors a power feeding state of the subscriber board, then decides whether an over-current is generated(S2). If so, the network cuts off the power feeding(S3), and checks whether an over-current is generated(S4). If so, the network stops feeding the power(S5), and attempts feeding the power to each line, then decides whether the over-current occurrences are less than 15 times(S6). If not, the network attempts feeding the power at 60-second intervals, and checks whether an over-current is generated(S7). If so, the network generates an over-current alarm to transmit the alarm(S8). If the over-current is not generated, the network transmits an over-current alarm clear message, and returns to a normal state(S9).

CONSTITUTION: A DC/DC converter(302) transmits a voltage received from a system to a mixer(304) and a noise analyzer(308). A signal transmitting/receiving unit(306) transmits or receives a signal to and from a terminal on the basis of a reference voltage. The mixer(304) mixes feeding power received from the DC/DC converter(302) and a signal received from the signal transmitting/receiving unit(306) and provides it to the terminal. The noise analyzer(308) separates noise from a DC voltage transmitted from the DC/DC converter(302) and determines whether the separated noise exceeds a threshold value.
