    • PURPOSE: A method for providing a map information service in a digital broadcasting system is provided to use map information about a desired region by composing a menu screen for a corresponding region. CONSTITUTION: A digital broadcasting transmission part multiplexes a map information data packet into a digital broadcasting signal and transmits the multiplexed signal. The map information is composed of header information including data kind identification code and an area identification code and map information data. A digital broadcasting reception part separates the map information data packet from the received digital broadcasting signal and stores the map information data packet within a predetermined map information storage area. The stored map information data packet is searched according to user's request. The map information data are separated from the searched map information data packet. A menu screen is composed to display the map information data.

    • An automatic broadcasting area switching system and a control method thereof are provided to offer group broadcasting by using at least one zone controller, thereby facilitating the configuration of broadcasting groups and controlling a broadcasting signal provided to each local broadcasting device without a separate reconnection. An automatic broadcasting area switching system includes at least one relay group(120), at least one zone controller(110), and at least one amplifier(100). Partial local broadcasting devices of local broadcasting devices(130) are connected to at least one relay group. At least one zone controller is connected to at least one of the relay groups, receives a broadcasting signal through an input terminal, extracts a broadcasting signal allocated to each of the local broadcasting devices connected through the relay group connected to at least one zone controller, outputs the extracted broadcasting signal to a corresponding local broadcasting device, outputs the received broadcasting signal to a zone controller connected to an output terminal of at least one zone controller, and is sequentially connected in a line. At least one amplifier outputs a different broadcasting signal and is connected to an initial zone controller of the zone controllers sequentially connected to output the broadcasting signal to a corresponding zone controller.
