    • PURPOSE: A battery cooling apparatus is provided to improve battery output under a low temperature condition while securing a battery lifespan by optimizing cooling performance of the apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A battery cooling apparatus comprises a vortex tube (4) that receives compressed air and supplies hot air to one side and cool air to another side; a cool air supplier (5) that is connected to a battery (1) at a cool air exit of the vortex tube and circulates the cool air to the battery; a hot air supplier (10) that is connected to a hot air exit of the vortex tube to circulate the hot air to the battery and discharges the hot air to the atmosphere; and multiple temperature sensors (1a, 8, 14) that detect a temperature for heat management control of the battery and provide the detected temperature to a controller (2).     • PURPOSE: A cooling device of a battery module is provided to quickly cool or warm a battery module and to able to directly cool or warm components of the battery module. CONSTITUTION: A cooling device of a battery module comprises: a vortex generator generating a first vortex by compressed air; a hot air discharge part which generates a second vortex inside the first vortex and discharges hot air of the first vortex; a cold air discharge part discharging cool air of the second vortex; a battery module for driving(100) supplying power to a motor; a first valve(410) enabling the cold air discharged from the cold air discharge part to flow to the battery module; and a second valve(420) enabling the hot air discharged from the hot air discharge part to flow to the battery module by opening the second valve when a temperature of the battery module is below a set temperature range.
