    • PURPOSE: An optical pickup device of a magneto-optical disk drive is provided to be miniaturized in various types by using two polarizers, and to be used by replacing a Wollaston prism used for detecting a magneto-optical signal, thereby obtaining a price-saving effect. CONSTITUTION: A light source(11) generates a light. A collimator lens(12) converts the light into a parallel beam. An objective lens(14) concentrates the parallel beam on a disk(1), and forms a focus. A beam splitter(13) separates incident lights from reflected lights. Reflecting mirror assemblies(20) divide/reflect the reflected lights, respectively. Two polarizers(21,22) separate each reflected light according to polarized states. Detectors(23,24) detect the separated beams passing through the polarizers(21,22), respectively.

    • PURPOSE: An optical recording player is provided to accurately form a focus of a beam focused by a focusing lens of a slider at a recording layer of a disk, and record and play clear signals. CONSTITUTION: A light receiving and transmitting unit writes and reads information. A swing arm(10) is installed to be rotated to a surface of a rotating disk(D). An actuator(20) provides rotative driving force to the swing arm. A slider(30) is installed at an end of the swing arm toward the disk. A focusing lens is mounted on the slider for focusing the beam and projecting the beam to a recording layer of the disk. A focus measuring unit is installed on the slider for applying a test signal to the recording layer of the disk and recognizing the test signal reflected from the recording layer, so that the focus measuring unit measures whether depth of focus is coincided with the recording layer of the disk. A height adjusting unit(50) is installed on the swing arm for adjusting an interval between the slider and the surface of the disk.
