    • A column oven capable of maintaining extremely high stability of temperature irrespective of a change in the temperature of an environment in which the device is placed. The column oven (10) has an outer chamber (12) and an inner chamber (14) disposed in the outer chamber (12). A column (16) is disposed in the inner chamber (14). In the outer chamber are installed a heater (18), an outer chamber fan (20) for circulating air heated by the heater (18), and an outer chamber temperature sensor (22) for detecting the temperature in the outer chamber. In the inner chamber (14) are installed an inner chamber fan (24) and an inner chamber temperature sensor (26) for detecting the temperature in the inner chamber. The outer wall of the inner chamber is separated from the inner wall of the outer chamber. A target temperature inside the outer chamber is set according to the temperature detected by the inner chamber temperature sensor (26). The column oven (10) is further provided with a temperature controller (28) for setting supply of electricity to the heater (18) according to the temperature detected by the outer chamber temperature sensor (22).

CONSTITUTION: A tested material is maintained in fixed concentration. Areas to be observed are divided, erupted and separated by crystallization sizes, by composites and so on. A fixed amount of the tested material erupted and separated is inserted into the gel permeation chromatography. After that, the material is excluded according to a size of the material while being passed through a column at the fixed speed of a current. In addition, the remaining time is measured. The molecular weight and distribution of the material are respectively estimated using a standard weighing line.
