    • PURPOSE: A road cleaning system using treated water of wastewater treatment facilities is provided to lower a cost for denitrification, and to decrease odor generated from sulfur compounds in a drain pipe due to nitric acid contained in treated water. CONSTITUTION: A road cleaning system using treated water of wastewater treatment facilities comprises a water collecting unit and a spraying unit. The spraying unit sprays the treated water on a road through the water collecting unit, and is a road cleaning vehicle(C). The water collecting unit comprises a storage tank which is equipped with a treated water supplying unit(M). The treated water supplying unit comprises an embedded body, a housing, and a combining member. The treated water is treated wastewater with a low denitrification effect or without a denitrification process. The water collecting unit comprises a pump(20) and a wireless switch(60).

    • PURPOSE: A method and apparatus is provided, which removes gum by directing a steam jet at an individual piece of gum at a pressure sufficient to penetrate the gum. CONSTITUTION: The machine(1) has a complex head having a rotating blade, a rotating brush, a suction tube, and a steam outlet. The head must be placed in position over the gum in a manner whereby the blade initially scrapes the bulk of the material away, and the brush then removes the remaining material. The machine comprises the steam outlet directing steam onto the bristles of the brush to heat up the bristles and the remaining gum to make it easier for the brush to remove it. The steam temperature is in excess of 140°C, preferably in excess of 150°C and is typically 170°C. The steam pressure is less than 50 bar. The steam is directed at the gum for a time period of from 3 to 10 seconds, most preferably for a period of from 4 to 5 seconds.
