    • PURPOSE: A process for preparing natural leather is provided to maintain texture, smoothness, and elasticity of animal natural leather, and to prepare natural leather with good smoothness and restitution. CONSTITUTION: A process for preparing natural leather using raw leather comprises the steps of: providing pelt; removing lime and protein contained in pelt using a pre-tanning composition in which a deliming component and an enzyme agent are contained to obtain wet blue from which a spilt layer is removed from pelt using a tanning composition; performing re-tanning process using a re-tanning composition containing 150~200 parts by weight of water, 1.5~5.0 parts by weigh of tanning agent, 1.0~2.0 parts by weight of branched emulsifier, 1.0~3.0 parts by weight of water-soluble acrylic tanning agent; performing a dye process by adding 100~150 parts by weight of water and dyes based on oily leather of 100.0 parts by weight; performing fatliqouring by adding 150~200 parts by weight of water and fatliquor based on the colored leather of 100.0 parts by weight; and obtaining the fabric by drying the fabric passed.

    • A tanning composition, and a method for processing natural leather to obtain the tanned leather by using the composition are provided to improve environmental friendliness and to reduce the pollution due to waste water by using a tanning composition containing no chromium. A tanning composition comprises 100-150 parts by weight of water; 6-8 parts by weight of sodium chloride; 1.0-2.5 parts by weight of a fatliquoring agent; 0.1-1.0 parts by weight of an acid; 3.0-8.0 parts by weight of a phosphate tanning agent; 1.0-2.0 parts by weight of a neutralized syntan; 1.0-3.0 parts by weight of an auxiliary syntan; and 0.6-1.5 parts by weight of a binding accelerator, based on 100 parts by weight of the pelt where lime and animal components are removed.
