    • PURPOSE: Provided is a method for producing calcium gluconic acid using glucose oxidase under high pressure, thereby the calcium gluconic acid can be produced simply and cost effectively with less wastewater. CONSTITUTION: The calcium gluconic acid is produced by oxidizing glucose with glucose oxidase and catalase under high oxygen pressure of about 1 to 2 kgf/cm2 in a reactor and by simultaneously adding calcium hydroxide as a neutralizing agent into the glucose and agitating them, in which the reaction temperature is 30 to 40 deg. C and pH of reaction material is 5.0 to 6.0; the ratio of glucose oxidase to catalase is 1:50 to 1:100; after completion of reaction, the remaining reaction solution that contains some glucose oxidase and catalase and removed crystalline calcium gluconic acid may be reused for the next reaction.
