    • PURPOSE: An optically pure binaphthol derivative is provided to be manufactured by selectively accepting various substituents on hydrogen site of 2' hydroxy group by using 2,2'-binaphthol-3-carboxylic acid. CONSTITUTION: An optically pure binaphthol derivative is in chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, X and Y is respectively selected from halogen, amino, nitro, cyano, substituted or unsubstituted C1-10 alkyl, C1-10 alkylcarbonyl, C5-10 aryl, and C1-10 alkoxy, n and m is an integer from 0-5, R1 is hydrogen or oxygen, R2 is -NO2, -NH(NHBOCNBOC), -NHCX'R3, -NHS(=O)aR3, or -NHPO(OH)R3. In here X' is oxygen or sulfur, a is 1 or 2, R3 is hydrogen, C1-10 alkyl substituted by halogen or unsubstituted, -NR4R5, or OR6, and R4-R6 is respectively selected from hydrogen, halogen, substituted or unsubstituted C1-10 alkyl, or substituted or unsubstituted C5-12 aryl.
