CONSTITUTION: A microwave range comprises a cooking chamber(1) and an electrical components chamber(2) arranged in a main body of the microwave range; a waveguide(20) arranged at the bottom of the cooking chamber and the electrical components chamber; a magnetron(5) coupled to the waveguide in the electrical components chamber; a pair of apertures formed at the waveguide and open toward the cooking chamber; and a high frequency distribution unit(15) installed in the apertures. The apertures include the first aperture(21) formed at the waveguide and the second aperture(22) interposed between the first aperture and the magnetron.

    • A microwave oven includes openings and microwave dispersing apparatuses which are arranged to align with a magnetron in a row below a cooking cavity so as to reduce the overall size of a waveguide and uniformly reflect high-frequency electromagnetic waves to all regions of the cooking cavity. The center of a first opening is disposed at a downstream location away from the magnetron by a distance corresponding to one of odd numbers times a half-wavelength of a standing wave in the waveguide, while the center of a second opening is disposed at an upstream location which is offset from another distance away from the magnetron corresponding to another one of the odd numbers times the half-wavelength of the standing wave in the waveguide.

    • A microwave oven 1 includes a motor-operated rotor 10 installed inside a cooking cavity 3 to distribute microwaves generated by a magnetron 2. A rotation trace limiter limits a rotation trace of the rotor to rotation within a predetermined range. The rotation trace limiter may includes stoppers to limit rotation of the rotor, or a cam mechanism unit (Fig. 10), which changes a movement of a motor shaft connecting the rotor to the motor. This allows more efficient operation of the oven 1 over a range of load conditions. In addition, the amount of the microwaves reflected back to the magnetron during an operation under no-load or light load conditions is reduced, increasing the life expectancy of the magnetron 2 and improving operational reliability of the oven 1.
