    • PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for deleting blooming of a camera image are provided to overlap a mask for deleting blooming on a specific area of a photographing image in which blooming is generated, thereby efficiently deleting blooming generated in a high luminance area. CONSTITUTION: A microcomputer analyzes a luminance level of each pixel unit detected by a pixel scan unit(S14). If blooming is generated, the microcomputer generates a mask image by control of a blooming mask generator(S15). The mask image is overlapped in the headlight part of blooming. Therefore, the blooming is removed(S16).
