    • PURPOSE: An image reader, an image display controller, an image processing system, and a method thereof are provided to instruct on/off of blank-page elimination from the outside when scanning document images of double-sided documents. CONSTITUTION: An image scanning device includes an accepting part(403) that accepts an instruction to scan a double-sided document. A scanning part scans a plurality of double-sided documents with respect to each page to produce image data when the accepting part accepts the scanning instruction. A determining part(402) determines whether or not each page of the documents is solid colored based upon the image data produced by the scanning part. An eliminating part(404) eliminates image data in accordance with a page determined by the determining part as being solid colored from the image data produced by the scanning part. A transmitting part(406) transmits image data eliminated by the eliminating part among the image data produced by the scanning part.

    • An image forming device capable of skipped copying and an image forming method using the same are provided to improve convenience and reduce the consumption of resource such as ink by copying a document while enabling a user to skip undesired areas of the document. A controller(240) enables the user to copy the document while enabling the user to skip the undesired areas of the document. An image forming device(210) copies the document, and includes a scanning unit(220) forming image data by scanning the document and a printing unit(230) performing printing according to the image data. A display part(250) displays a scanning progress of the document if a document feeding mode is an ADF(Automatic Document Feeder) mode. An input part(260) receives a skip area pointing command. The controller makes the scanning unit to skip a scanning operation from a first point receiving a first skip area pointing command to a second point receiving a second skip area pointing command in a state displaying the scanning progress.

    • A color data printing method is provided to represent colors a user prefers using a hue gradation chart based on saturation and value obtained from color data. A user inputs values defining the ranges of colors based on a hue gradation chart represented on printing paper(S110). The user inputs the values defining the color ranges based on a hue gradation chart represented on a display device(S120). A formula for converting the colors defined by the values inputted based on the hue gradation chart of the display device into the colors defined by the values inputted based on the hue gradation chart of the printing paper is derived(S130). Hue, saturation and brightness to be printed are calculated, and the calculated hue is converted by the formula(S140). The color is printed according to the calculated saturation and value and the converted hue(S150).
