    • A message broadcast system is disclosed for quickly delivering a relatively large amount of content to customer premises devices. A dial-out voice server initiates a plurality of telephone calls to a plurality of telephone numbers associated with customer premises alerting devices. The dial-out server also transmits a control data signal to the alerting devices, which indicates an incoming voice message to the alerting devices. The customer premises devices are connected to the telecommunication network via a communication channel and are configured to continuously monitor the communication channel for the control data signal. In response to receipt of a control data signal, an alerting device automatically configures itself to receive the incoming voice message. After delivering the voice message to the alerting device, the dial-out voice server may disconnect and place another call.

    • PURPOSE: A method for servicing a subscriber group of an IP(Internet Protocol) telephony system is provided to assign an identical phone system and maintenance system to IP terminals and legacy terminals to be integrated into one system, so as to provide various group services even to the IP terminals. CONSTITUTION: A call processing module searches whether a general directory number of an extension group is selected(302). If so, the call processing module seizes the extension group(304), and receives a seizure response message from an incoming call processor for the general directory number of the extension group(306). An originating call processor of the call processing module searches whether the other party has an IP terminal(308). If so, the call processing module provides a ring back tone to an originating IP terminal(310). If the other party has a legacy terminal in the step 308, the call processing module generates a gateway seizure request signal to seize a channel(312). If a seizure request response is received from the gateway, the call processing module transmits a gateway channel seizure response message to an incoming call processor of the legacy terminal to provide a ring to the other party(314). And the call processing module provides a ring back tone to the originating IP terminal(316).

A microcomputer(40) counts the modulated pulse signal. If the counted pulse signal is counted more than a reference frequency, the microcomputer(40) transmits a hook-on control signal to the telephone controlling module(10).

    • PURPOSE: A group termination call control method in a VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol) system is provided to maintain compatibility with an H.323 system without a group termination function by not correcting a protocol. CONSTITUTION: In a first stage, when a caller makes a call in a group, a group number is contained in a recipient number field of an ARQ(Admission Request) message of the caller, and the ARQ message is transferred to a gate keeper. The gate keeper checks whether a recipient number is in general terminal information or in group information. If the recipient number is in the group information, the gate keeper senses a group termination. The gate keeper checks whether a group state is valid, and if valid, the gate keeper transfers an ACF(Admission Request Confirm) message to the caller. In a second stage, the caller transfers a setup message to the gate keeper to set up a call. Upon receiving the setup message, the gate keeper transfers a call proceeding/alerting message to the caller. The gate keeper searches a member in an idle state from a group corresponding to the group number and transfers the setup message to an EP A and EP B in the idle state. In a third stage, each member of the corresponding group, which has received the setup message, undergoes a call setup process independently. In a fourth stage, when the EP B first receives a call, it transfers a connect message to the gate keeper. Then, the gate keeper transfers the connect message to the caller, and transfers a release complete message to the member EP A to stop its call setup procedure.
