    • PURPOSE: A bit leaking type pointer adjusting synchronizing apparatus is provided to reduce the amplitude of a jitter generated using a bit leaking method which controls one by one bit. CONSTITUTION: The bit leaking type pointer adjusting synchronizing apparatus compensates for a phase time deviation between node clocks in an SDH communication network. In order to reduce the amplitude of a jitter generated in the bit leaking type pointer adjusting synchronizing apparatus, a justification control is performed 24 times one by one bit using a bit leaking method. When a bit leaking occurs, a pointer adjusting interval time T is divided by regular time intervals. When the bit leaking is performed every T/24 hour, the smallest jitter is generated. A repeating frequency of a sawtooth jitter signal is increased by 24 times.

    • PURPOSE: An apparatus for processing traffic and operation information of an optical communication equipment is provided to confirm the status of a signal transmitted through a lower traffic fiber, operational status of the affected fiber, and the fault-generated fiber. CONSTITUTION: An RCV(Receive)(10) receives an optical signal through an optical fiber and converts the optical signal into an electric signal. A section termination(20) processes the electric signal for detecting overhead. An HPT(High Order Path Layer Termination)(30) processes the overhead signal for analyzing position of a frame and pointer value, and detecting C2 byte value. A C2 information(40) analyzes C2 byte value for detecting frame bit, and extracts byte value positioned before and behind the frame bit. An MCUI(50) matches the signals received from the notifier. An MCU(60) processes the signals received from the MCUI(50) outputting a signal to the MCUI(50). An OS(Operating System)(70) is connected with the MCU(60) for controlling and operating the whole optical communication system. A C2U(C2 Using)(80) converts operation information of the affected channel into a C2 format. A C2G(C2 Generation)(90) makes frame bit by the C2 format value and adds the frame bit to the affected position of the overhead. A section generation(100) processes a channel signal received from the C2G(90) for generating and adding each section overhead. An XMT(110) converts the electric signal received from the section generation into an optical signal for outputting the optical signal to an optical cable.

    • PURPOSE: A wave multiplex optical buffer apparatus and frequency selector are provided to easily control a number of wavelengths and use a hardware less than a conventional optical buffer apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A wave multiplex optical buffer apparatus and frequency selector includes a first optical separation/coupling means, a plurality of buffer units, a second optical separation/coupling means, an optical switching means, and a wavelength routing means. The first optical separation/coupling means separates an input optical signal which wavelength is multiplexed with a plurality of signals. The plurality of buffer units stores and offers an output each optical signal, which is separated by the first optical separation/coupling means, under the control of an input pointer and an output pointer. The second optical separation/coupling means couples an optical signal which is offered an output from the plurality of buffer unit. The optical switching means switches for a wavelength routing of the optical signal, which a wavelength is multiplexed, coming from the second optical separation/coupling means. The wave routing means receives the optical signal, which wavelength is multiplexed, to own appropriate input port from the optical switching means, and offer an output the optical signal only corresponding to one wavelength.

The flow controller(210) controls quantity of traffics of Ethernet frames and controls receipt or transmission of signals according to an access protocol which is the same as the access protocol of the Ethernet interface. The physical module(220) adjusts an internal clock such that a speed demanded by the Ethernet interface gets accorded with a speed provided by one wavelength of the WDM-PON if the speed demanded by the Ethernet interface is different from the speed provided by one wavelength of the WDM-PON, and accepts the Ethernet frames outputted by the Ethernet interface.

    • A rate matching device, an optical network device having the rate matching device, and a rate matching method in a WDM-PON(Wavelength Division Multiplexing-Passive Optical Network) are provided to sufficiently provide an economically physical high band to subscribers by adjusting a data transfer rate of a home station and that of a remote station according to transmission characteristics of a WDM-PON link and matching them. An initialization unit(141) generates and outputs RIN(Relative Intensity Noise) measurement data, and when a transmission performance value corresponding to the RIN measurement data is received from a remote station, the initialization unit(141) adjusts transfer rate of data transmitted/received through an optical fiber(300) according to the transmission performance value. A photoelectric transformation unit(143) converts the RIN measurement data into a light signal, and transmits it to the remote station through the optical fiber(300). The initialization unit(141) includes random patterns as the RIN measurement data in every transmission wavelength that can be transmittable through the optical fiber(300). A scrambler/descramble(142) scrambles the RIN measurement data so that each random pattern included in the transmission wavelength can be randomly distributed as possible so as to be transmitted through the optical fiber(300).
