    • An apparatus and a method for predicting wave propagation of a multiple antenna system are provided to predict the wave propagation characteristic of a system 3D in the urban canyon model by searching all wave propagation paths of the multiple reflected wave corresponding to each image antenna. A transmission location calculation unit(31) calculates a transmission location of a multiple transmit antenna. A wave propagation path retrieval unit(32) searches a wave propagation path about generated a plurality of image antennas about each transmission antenna comprised the multiple transmit antenna. A reflection electrical field calculating unit(33) calculates a partial reflection field at the searched wave propagation path as described above. A received power calculating unit(34) calculates the received power from the calculated partial reflection field as described above.

    • An apparatus and a method for controlling a reverse data transmission rate in a mobile communication system are provided to predict a reverse link sector load by using an interference coefficient indicating an interference caused by an external sector. A load measurement unit(305) measures a load of each terminal in a sector. An ROT(Rise Over Thermal) calculating unit(309) calculates a load of the sector by using ROT of the sector. An interference coefficient calculating unit(315) calculates an interference coefficient, a ratio of an interference load caused by an adjacent sector to a sector load, by using the loads of each terminal and the sector load. A transmission rate determining unit(317) estimates a sector load according to a change in a reverse transmission rate of a target terminal by using the interference coefficient, and determines a reverse transmission rate of the target terminal within a range in which the estimated sector load does not exceed a sector threshold load.

    • An apparatus and a method for calculating a predicted SINR(Signal to Interference and Noise Ratio) and an RMSE(Root Mean Square Error) in an HRPD(High Rate Packet Data) system are provided to calculate a predicted SINR value and an RMSE value more precisely by separating even sub-packets from odd sub-packets and predicting the SINR of each slot. An SINR prediction apparatus is composed of a set of predictor banks. The predictor bank set(100) comprises a plurality of moving average blocks(101-116), a plurality of predictor banks(120-161), and a reset generator(180). The moving average blocks(101-116) receive the actual SINR values of the previous slots and calculate the average SINR values by spans. The predictor banks(120-161) separate even sub-packets from odd sub-packets according to spans, calculate predicted SINR values and corresponding RMSE values, and output them. Each of the predictor banks(120-161) comprises a plurality of predictors to output a predicted SINR value corresponding to each span and an RMSE value. A parameter storage part(170) provides parameters for each predictor.
