    • A touch sensor and a signal generating method thereof are provided to prevent erroneous operation of the touch sensor by adjusting the delay time between inner signals of the touch sensor. A touch sensor includes an input signal generator(10), a reference signal generator(20), contact detection signal generators(30-1~30-n), variable delay units(35-1~35-n), contact signal generators(40-1~40-n), and a controller(50). The input signal generator generates an input signal. The reference signal generator delays the input signal by a predetermined time and generates a first signal. The contact detection signal generators have contact pads, delay the input signals according to the contact states of the contact pads, and generate second signals. The variable delay units vary the delay times according to a control signal, delay the second time according to the delay time, and generate the second signals. The contact signal generators generate contact signals according to the delay time difference between the first and second signals. The controller receives and analyzes the contact signals and generates a contact output, when the contact pads are contacted with each other. The controller supplies the control signal to the variable delay units, when the contact pads are not contacted with each other.
