    • PURPOSE: A digital amplifier is provided to prevent occurrence of failure and to immediately manage failure by displaying on an external communication and its own display. CONSTITUTION: A first and second amplification units(40,50) digitally amplify an input signal and output through each speaker(45,56). An AC input unit(61) inputs AC power used for an amplifier. If AC power is not input to the AC input unit, a DC input unit(62) supplies power to each unit. A temperature sensor(67) detects temperature of the amplifier. An auxiliary D-Class amplification unit(64) converts an analog signal to a digital signal and amplifies if a D-class amplification unit of the first and the second amplification unit are abnormal. A MiCOM(63) detects a state of the first and the second amplification units, judges abnormality and judges abnormality of the amplifiers by comparing an output signal of the temperature sensor. If abnormality of the D-Class amplification unit of the first and the second amplification unit the MiCOM controls operation of the auxiliary D-Class amplification unit(64).

    • An apparatus and a method for compensating nonlinearity in a mobile communication terminal are provided to operate DPD in a specific high power interval in which nonlinearity occurs, thereby minimizing power. A modem(100) modulates transmission data inputted in a transmission mode. A DPD(Digital PreDistortion) mode control unit(110) obtains a power level and location information of an assigned transmission symbol by using MAP information received from a base station. The DPD mode control unit determines on/off of the DPD by using the information obtained in the transmission mode. The DPD(120) is turned on/off according to the control of the DPD mode control unit. When the power is off, the DPD outputs modulation data itself inputted from the modem. When the power is on, the DPD performs the DPD of the modulation data inputted from the modem.

    • PURPOSE: A digital amplifier having an output controlling function is provided to prevent an amplifier from being damaged by restricting outputs in an abnormal operation of an amplifier due to overheat or overload. CONSTITUTION: A digital amplifier having an output controlling function serves as emergency broadcast as well as general broadcast. The digital amplifier comprises a pre-amplifier(1), an electronic volume part(2), a MICOM(Micro processor Computer)(3), a main amplifier(4), and a speaker(5). The electronic volume part controls the volume of audio signals. The MICOM controls the volume of the electronic volume part. The main amplifier is connected to the electronic volume part. A speaker outputs sound while being connected to the main amplifier. A protection part reduces the level of output signals in the electronic volume part when the main amplifier is overheated or overloaded.

    • A high-output power amplifier apparatus in a wireless communication system is provided to attenuate deterioration due to temperature of a transistor by adjusting a gate bias to be inputted into a drive amplifier and a main amplifier. A high-output power amplifier apparatus includes temperature sensors(513,523), controllers, and amplifiers(501,503). The temperature sensors measure temperature and transmit the measured values to the controllers. The controllers adjust external voltages as gate bias voltages corresponding to the measured temperature by using a gate bias table including stored temperature levels. The amplifiers amplify RF signals by using the adjusted gate bias voltages. The gate bias table indicates the gate bias voltages to be inputted into the amplifiers according to each temperature level.
