    • PURPOSE: A mid-wavelength infrared optical-fiber laser generating apparatus with a separated wavelength conversion head is provided to convert the mid-wavelength infrared laser into all wavelength bands by being separated into an Yb-contained optical-fiber laser module part and a periodically poled lithium niobate(PPLN) optical media oscillating part. CONSTITUTION: An optical-fiber laser module part(210) generates pulse type seed beam which is modulated according to the input of a direct modulation signal. The optical-fiber laser module part generates laser beam by amplifying the seed beam. A wavelength conversion head part(220) is composed of a PPLN optical media oscillator which generates laser by converting the laser beam into mid-wavelength infrared ray in 2 to 5um wavelength band. A transmitting optical fiber(214) connects the optical-fiber laser module part and the wavelength conversion head part in order to transmit laser without loss.
