    • An operation input apparatus and an electronic device using the same are provided to reduce the thickness of an operation plate and the thickness of the operation input device, by rotatively supporting an operation dial through a fixture so that the operation plate requires no high rotation support function. A fixture(60) is inserted in a fixing hole(51) of the operation dial such that at least two support legs(62), which are protruded from a lower surface of the fixture, are joined to the base. As the result, the fixture prevents the operation dial from being released while rotatively supporting the operation dial. The operation dial is rotated so that the magnetic-field detection element detects the change in magnetic flux of the ring magnet. The operation dial is pushed down so that the push-button switches are operated by the operation plate.
