    • A cathode coating for a wet electrolytic capacitor is provided to increase cathode capacitance of the capacitor by increasing an effective cathode surface area. A wet electrolytic capacitor(200) includes anodes(65), cathodes(64), and a working electrolytic(144). The cathode contains coating positioned on the surface of a current collector(119). The working electrolyte is positioned between the cathodes and the anodes. The coating contains a plurality of electrochemical activation particles and a binder which is made of an amorphous polymer having a glass transition temperature above approximately 100 degrees centigrade. A separation film(117) is positioned between the anode and the cathode to prevent direct contact between the anode and the cathode and pass an ionic current of the working electrolyte to the electrodes.

    • A method for producing a capacitor having a good capacitance appearance factor and a low ESR comprising, as one electrode (anode), an electric conductor having pores and having formed on the surface thereof a dielectric layer and, as the other electrode (cathode), a semiconductor layer formed on the electric conductor by energization in an electrolytic solution, the method comprising impregnating pores with a semiconductor layer-forming precursor before energization to render the concentration of semiconductor layer-forming precursor in pores higher than that of semiconductor layer-forming precursor in the electrolytic solution; a capacitor produced by the method; and an electronic circuit and an electronic device using the capacitor.
