    • An apparatus for sensing the flow of fluid is provided to achieve accurate control in a field like an appliance safety system. An apparatus for sensing the flow of fluid includes an on-off detection unit(430), a flow detection unit, and a control part. The on-off detection unit detects whether a valve is on or off and the on-off degree of the valve. The flow detection unit detects whether the fluid flows and the flow rate of the fluid. The control part receives each detection value of the on-off detection unit and the flow detection unit, decides whether the fluid flows and calculates the flow rate of the fluid and also decides whether the valve is normally operated or not by comparing the two values.

CONSTITUTION: A flow rate measuring device(100) integrated with a valve comprises a housing, and a sensor(112), a flow rate regulating valve(114), and a controller(106). A port is formed in the housing, so the fluid flows inside and outside. The sensor is installed inside the housing. The sensor measures the flow rate supplied from a fluid source to a processing unit. The flow rate regulating valve is installed inside the housing. The flow rate regulating valve adjusts the flow rate supplied to the processing unit according to the flow rate measured by the sensor. The controller is electrically connected to the sensor. The controller monitors the flow rate measured from the sensor.

    • PURPOSE: A disc flow meter to calculate a flow rate by detecting torque generated in a disc shaft and a control method thereof are provided to detect the torque through the strain gauge by mounting a disc controlling a tilt to the flow direction within a pipe. CONSTITUTION: A disc flow meter comprises a flow meter body(10), a disc(20), a disc shaft(40), a strain measuring device(50), a disc tilting device(60) and a flow rate detector(70). The flow meter body is formed in a pipe in which the fluid flows. The disc is installed in the flow meter body. The disc shaft is connected to the disc with a disc arm. The strain measuring device measures the strain delivered to the disc shaft. The disc tilting device controls a tilt angle of the disc to the flow direction. The flow rate detector changes the strain measured by the strain measuring device into the flow rate.
