    • The present invention relates to an electric vacuum pump for a vehicle that includes: a housing coupled to an electric motor at one side thereof and having an inlet; and a pump assembly having a rotor coupled to the other side of the housing and having slots along which vanes are slidably coupled, cam rings disposed on the outside of the rotor so as to form a compression chamber together with the rotor, a base plate coupled between the cam rings and the housing, and a side plate coupled to the cam rings in the opposite side to the base place between the cam rings, wherein the housing and the base plate have the inlet and an outlet formed to allow air absorbed from the inlet to be discharged through the pump, and a sealing portion is formed between the base plate and the housing so as to define the inlet and outlet regions and to keep the air tightness. Accordingly, the electric vacuum pump can prevent the water introduced from the outside from flowing to a motor and can decrease pulsating current or pulsating pressure while the vanes rotating are not being locked to the inlet or the outlet. Furthermore, the pump assembly can be more stably supported and the noise generated by the discharge air can be decreased.
