    • A structure of a sewing arm for an embroidery is provided to reduce the noise and vibration while a needle bar elevating driver and a cloth press member elevating driver are operated, by installing the two drivers within the sewing arm such that reaction forces, which are applied to an upper shaft by driving the two drivers, are offset. A needle bar elevating driver and a cloth press member elevating driver are respectively formed within a sewing arm(10), wherein the needle bar elevating driver and the cloth press member elevating driver raise or fall a needle bar(40) and a cloth press member(50) using a rotary power of an upper shaft(20), respectively. A needle bar driving reaction force, which is applied to the upper shaft by driving the needle bar elevating driver, and a cloth press member driving reaction force, which is applied to the upper shaft by driving the cloth press member elevating driver, are operated in opposite directions, thereby offsetting the reaction forces applied to the upper shaft.

A needle holder(7) is set up to receive a sewing needle(4) so as to hold firmly the sewing needle on a needle bar(2) in a holding position. An adjusting unit is disposed on the needle holder to adjust the holding position of the needle holder in a lateral direction with respect to a longitudinal direction of the sewing needle. The adjusting unit is set up to adjust the relative position of the sewing needle with respect to a needle guard(11) or a gripper(6). The adjusting unit is used to grip thread guided by the sewing needle.
