摘要： A needle holder for a sewing machine is provided to make it unnecessary to adjust continuously a gripper and utilize needles of different gauges on the sewing machine, by adjusting the relative position of a sewing needle with respect to the gripper. A needle holder(7) is set up to receive a sewing needle(4) so as to hold firmly the sewing needle on a needle bar(2) in a holding position. An adjusting unit is disposed on the needle holder to adjust the holding position of the needle holder in a lateral direction with respect to a longitudinal direction of the sewing needle. The adjusting unit is set up to adjust the relative position of the sewing needle with respect to a needle guard(11) or a gripper(6). The adjusting unit is used to grip thread guided by the sewing needle.
