    • PURPOSE: An electrolytic cell is provided to reduce the consumption of electric power, and to improve an efficiency of electrolysis. CONSTITUTION: In the electrolytic cell(100) in which the electrolysis of electrolyte supplied therein is progressed to generate gas, a plurality of unit sets having a gasket, an electrode, another gasket, and a cell frame successively coupled are stacked, and cathode and anode are fixed on the both ends of the unit set. The electrode of each unit set is a bipolar electrode, a gas flow hole is formed at upper part of electrode and an electrolyte flow hole is formed at lower part of the electrode. Each gasket of each unit set having a shape same with that of the electrode is a member corresponding to the outer contour of the electrode, and has upper and lower portions extending inward in which a gas flow hole and an electrolyte flow hole are formed. Each extended portion press the edge of each hole of the electrode.
