    • PURPOSE: A method of removing acetylenes from olefin using an ionic liquid absorbent is provided to enhance a selective removal of the acetylenes from olefin in which the number of a carbon is 2~4, and to prevent acetylene removal performance from deteriorating after a long driving. CONSTITUTION: A method of removing acetylenes from olefin comprises the following steps of: absorbing the acetylenes contained in olefin by treating olefin in which the number of a carbon is 2~4 using ionic liquid absorbent consisting copper halide marked as CuX in chemical formula 1, and ionic liquid selected from the group of imidazolium compounds from the chemical formula 1; and separating the olefin and the ionic liquid absorbent. In chemical formula 1, R1 and R2 refer to alkyl group of the carbon number 1~6 or alkoxy group of the carbon number 1~6 each. Y refers to halogen ion, phosphite ion[R3OPH(=O)O], or phosphate ion[(R3O)2P(=O)O]. R3 refers to alkyl group of the carbon number 1~6. X refers to halogen atom.
