    • PURPOSE: Provided is an acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer resin composition, which has excellent fire resistance, mechanical properties, impact resistance and heat resistance, and is useful in electric and electronic products and OA instruments. CONSTITUTION: The fire-resistant thermoplastic resin composition comprises: (A) 100 parts by weight of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer resin consisting of (a1) 20-50 wt% of a graft ABS resin comprising a graft polymer obtained from a small- diameter rubber and a graft polymer obtained from a medium-diameter rubber in a weight ratio of 40:60 to 80:20, and (a2) 50-80 wt% of SAN resin comprising 60-76 wt% of styrene and 40-24 wt% of acrylonitrile; (B) 5-30 parts by weight of a halogen-based flame retardant having a weight average molecular weight of 2,000-10,000; (c) 1-15 parts by weight of antimony oxide; and (D) 0.05 to 10 parts by weight of aluminosilicate-based inorganic compound.

    • PURPOSE: A flame retardant styrene resin composition which has excellent impact resistance, thermostability, appearance characteristics, and fluidity, thereby being applicable to exterior material for articles used in TV, VCR, copy machine, or FAX is provided by using a mixture of polystyrene with different rubber particle sizes, flame retardants which is selected from melt or non-melt halogen compound or mixture thereof, antimony trioxide, impact modifier, and lubricant of olefin compounds. CONSTITUTION: The flame retardant composition comprises: (A) 100 pts.wt. of polystyrene reinforced with rubber comprised of (a1) 50-90 wt% of polystyrene resin reinforced with rubber having 0.2-0.8 micrometer of average rubber particle size, and (a2) 50-10 wt% of polystyrene resin reinforced with rubber having 2.0-3.0 micrometer of average rubber particle size; (B) 5-25 pts.wt. of halogen compound; (C) 1-10 pts.wt. of antimony trioxide; (D) 0.5-10 pts.wt. of antimony trioxide; (E) 1-10 pts.wt. of impact modifier obtained by carrying out graft polymerization of styrene monomer and acrylonitrile monomer with a rubber selected from a group consisting of butadiene rubber, isoprene rubber, butadiene-styrene copolymer or alkylacrylate rubber; and (F) 0.1-5 pts.wt. of olefin-based lubricant.

    • PURPOSE: A flame retardant styrene-based resin composition is provided, which is excellent in impact resistance at a low temperature by using a styrene-based graft copolymer with a specific structure and a block copolymer with a specific structure containing styrene and diene-rubber in combination. CONSTITUTION: The styrene-based resin composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a styrene-based resin which comprises 85-99.5 wt% of a styrene-based graft copolymer and 0.5-15 wt% of a radial structured block copolymer containing styrene and diene-rubber; 4-25 parts by weight of a halogen-based flame retardant; and 0.5-10 parts by weight of antimony trioxide. The styrene-based graft copolymer comprises 3-30 wt% of a soft component particle having the cis 1,4-bond in butadiene chain of diene-based rubber by 70 wt% or more; and 70-97 wt% of styrene-based resin matrix. Preferably the soft component particle is polybutadiene or styrene-butadiene copolymer, and the glass transition temperature is less than -30 deg.C.
