    • The polyamide production method of the present invention comprises the steps of: producing a low-order condensate by effecting a polycondensation reaction between a dicarboxylic acid component containing between about 5 and about 40 mol.% of terephthalic acid, and a diamine component containing between about 70 and about 100 mol.% of a xylylenediamine in which the content of paraxylylenediamine is between about 50 and about 100 mol.%, under conditions of a reaction temperature of at least about 200°C and less than about 230°C; discharging and cooling the low-order condensate at a pressure at or below atmospheric pressure, in an inert gas atmosphere; and subjecting the discharged and cooled low-order condensate to solid state polymerisation. The production method makes it possible to obtain a polyamide having outstanding mechanical strength, heat resistance, colour tone and the like without problems such as gelling.

    • PURPOSE: A method for preparing a meta-aramide composition is provided to increase the content of a meta-aramide solid portion and to obtain a meta-aramide composition usable as the spinning material of fibers or pulp without additional processes. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing a meta-aramide composition comprises the steps of: reacting m-phenylene diamine with isophthaloyl chloride in an amide-based solvent; adding calcium hydroxide in order to neutralize hydrochloric acids as the by-products of a polymerization step; adding calcium chloride after a neutralization step; and dehydrating and defoaming the resultant after a calcium chloride addition step. The amide-based solvent is dimethyl acetamide or N-methylpyrrolidone.

    • PURPOSE: Aramid fiber and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce the molecular weight of the polymer when the spinning dope is produced and improve intensity of the aramid fiber by minimizing degradation of inherent viscosity. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of aramid fiber includes the following steps of: producing mixed liquid by dissolving aromatic diamine in a polymerization solvent; producing pre-polymer by adding aromatic family diacid halide; producing the final polymer; and producing spinning dope by using the final polymer; and spinning spinning dope. The average molar ratio of amine terminal compared to the molar ratio of the acid terminal is 1.0 ~ 2.3. The manufacturing method of the aramid fiber further includes a step for measuring a diamine molar ratio.
