    • PURPOSE: A joint tape for a functional SMD(Surface Mount Device) carrier band is provided to easily insert sprocket gear teeth into sprocket holes by a joint tape adhered to a connecting part when connecting carrier bands each other. CONSTITUTION: A first tape(120) attaches to one side of a SMD carrier band. Second and third tapes(130,140) attach to a different side of the SMD carrier band. A non-adhesive sheet(110) covers the adhesive faces of the first, the second and the third tapes. An adhesive sheet(170) attaches to the non-adhesive sheet while covering the non-adhesive sides of the first, the second and the third tapes. Point holes(150) are formed on the adhesive sheet between the first and the second tapes in order to match the sprocket holes of the SMD carrier band. A fold line(160) is cut into a dotted line type aligned with the point holes. A sprocket gear insertion perforation line(250) includes a horizontal perforation line(190) and an equally-spaced vertical perforation line(200). The first tape is formed with a width of 8mm, 12mm, 16mm, 24mm, 32mm or 44mm.

A cover tape discharging unit(700) collects the cover tape exfoliating from the carrier tape. A rotation transmission unit(600) transfers the rotation of the motor to the cover tape discharging unit.
